Okay, how do i start?
The whole storyline and script of the movie is very faithful to the book. Even some of its lines were from the book. Sometimes, the movie gives off a boring feel [but it ddnt make me sleep. i rarely sleep while watching movies], pulling out the story's natural humor [the book was funny :D].
The actors did a superb job of filling in the jobs of the four children.
Among the four, Georgie Henley was the one that i think was the best among the four children. Maybe because she got all the best scenes and had more exposure. But even so, she did her job very well.
Next in rank is Skandar Keynes [cutie!!!!!!]. Again, maybe because of exposure. If I hadn't read the book, I would have gotten really annoyed with him. Unfortunately, I have read the book so he didn't annoy me since I know what will happen next. But he did annoy my dad, which makes him an effective actor.
William Moseley, on the other hand, was given all the scenes, but i just didn't feel him. I don't know why. Maybe I was concentrating too much on Skandar. whaha. But he was good. He just needs a little more power.
Anna Popplewell wasn't exposed so much compared to her other co-actors, but even though not as exposed, she made me feel "it". She was good all right, and she played the know-it-all role very well.
As for the graphics, they were AMAZING. Aslan tooks 2 years to make, so it should look great. Also, I saw how the graphics were made in MTV Making the Movie, and I was like, "HOW THE HELL DID THEY DO THAT?!". They all looked believable. I swear. All so realistic.
The sound, WOW. Especially Aslan's roar. The music, it's apt for the theme of the movie itself.
Even the costumes of the children and the other creatures were cool!
On the down side, Mr. Adamson could have explored some more areas that can be nourished. Like the part when they had to fight Jadis not only because he has Edmund, but also because she captured Mr. Tumnus, who actually saved little Lucy from the wrath of the White Witch. They also could have increased the tension between Peter and Edmund, though I don't know how they can do that. I didn't feel the tension. And yeah, the awe of first seeing Narnia. Like, there can't be a land behind a wardrobe!!! I didn't feel the excitement of being there. Knowing that there's life beyond that wardrobe. There were also unexplainable things, like why the wardrobe was magical, and why the lamp post marks the beginning of Narnia. All the answers can be found in the first book of the series, the Magician's Nephew. I don't want to be a spoiler, so I won't say the answers.
All in All, i gave it a rating of 4.5 thumbs up. If ever I had that enough thumbs to raise. :D
